Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. We've kept it short and in plain English.

1. Who we are

Rabta Labs ("we", "us") is the trading name of Mahmood Nawaz, a sole trader based in Islamabad, Pakistan. Rabta Labs is not a registered company. For data protection purposes, Mahmood Nawaz is the person responsible for your data (the "controller").

2. What data we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, company (if you add it) and your message.
• Emails you send us: your email address, name and whatever you write, including attachments.
• Hosting logs: when you visit, the hosting provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.

This site has no analytics, no advertising trackers and no booking tool. If we add any of these, we will update this policy first.

3. Why we use it

• To read and reply to your enquiry.
• To discuss, plan and deliver work you ask us to do.
• To keep the site secure and working, for example to stop spam and abuse of the contact form.

4. Legal basis (for visitors in the EU and UK)

• Legitimate interests: answering enquiries and keeping the site secure.
• Steps before a contract: when you ask us to quote for or plan work.
• Consent: where the law requires it, for example before any non-essential cookies (there are none today).

5. Who processes data for us

We use a small number of services to run this site and our email. They handle data only to provide their service to us:

• Vercel hosts the website and keeps its server logs.
• Cloudflare manages the rabtalabs.com domain and forwards email sent to it.
• Google (Gmail) is our email inbox.
• Resend delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.

We never sell your personal data and never share it for advertising.

6. International transfers

We work from Pakistan, and the services above run in several countries, including the United States. So your data may be processed outside your own country. These providers state their own safeguards for international transfers in their privacy terms.

7. How long we keep it

• Enquiries and emails: as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any work that follows, then deleted.
• Hosting logs: for as long as the hosting provider keeps them under its own policy.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing mahmood@rabtalabs.com. We will reply within one month.

• EU and UK visitors may also complain to their data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
• California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected about them and how it is used, and to ask for it to be deleted or corrected. We do not sell or share personal information.

9. Cookies

This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. Your language is part of the page address (for example /fr/ for French). Two small preference cookies are stored, and only when you choose them:

• Language: if you pick a language (from the menu or the language suggestion), a cookie called NEXT_LOCALE remembers it for one year, so that visiting rabtalabs.com again opens the home page in that language. It holds only the language code.
• Colour theme: if you pick light or dark mode, a cookie called theme remembers it for one year, so pages open in that mode straight away. Choosing your device's own mode again deletes it.

Each holds a single word, is not used to track you, and is never shared. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will describe them here and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

10. Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children's data.

11. Changes to this policy

The "Last updated" date at the top shows when this policy last changed. If we make an important change, we will say so on this page.
